Jennifer
Love Hewitt was born to Tom and Pat Hewitt. Today
she lives in Burbank, California. She prefers to
be called Love, because there are so many other
actresses named Jennifer. She has a brother, Todd
Hewitt. Born 1981. Already when she was little,
Love showed her skills within singing and acting.
She moved to Los Angeles at a young age, and she
soon got a role as "Robin" in the TV show "Kids
Incorporated".
She had that role from 1989 to 1991. In that time
Love also sang the song "Please Save Us A World"
together with her other Kids Incorporated co-stars.
This song later became the theme song for the 1992
Earth Summit in Rio, Brazil.
When Love played Heather Lofton in the 1993 movie
"Little Miss Millions", she began to get some serious
attention, and she also starred in the comedy "Sister
Act 2: Back in the Habit", where she really got
to show her great skills both as a singer and an
actor. In the following year Love played in TV shows
like "Byrds of Paradise" and "McKenna".
In 1995 she got her most memorable role even known
today. The role of Sarah Reeves in the TV show "Party
of Five". The show had, at that time, already been
running for one year, and it needed something new,
that could get it back on track. It certainly got
that! Today, Love still has the role of Sarah Reeves,
but it is now in her own show called Time of Your
Life.
In 1997, Love got her big breaktrough around the
world, and especially in Europe. She played Julie
James in the horror movie "I Know What You Did Last
Summer". This was such a big succes, that the sequel
"I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" was released
in 1998. The first film earned Love a Blockbuster
Entertainment Award in the category "Favourite Female
Newcomer." and the second one in the category "Favorite
Actress in a Horror Film". Since then she has starred
in other films such as "The Surburbans" and "Can't
Hardly Wait" and she has been in various TV shows
such as MTV's Singled out and the Jay Leno show. |
